We build awareness and acceptance.
23andWe, a grassroots group of employee volunteers, drives our company’s DEI initiatives around hiring; employee experience; product and research; and the community. 23andWe is responsible for organizing internal events such as our DEI Book Club, internal podcasts, and external Speaker Series.
In addition, 23andWe is involved in ensuring we have equal representation in our hiring processes, our product, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations we support.
We value the whole self.
We want all of our employees to feel like they belong at 23andMe. We provide safe spaces for them to network, organize, and build community to make impactful changes.
Our employee resource groups, including Blacks@, Neurodiversity, Femingineers, LGBTQ+, 23andHear, and Parents@, are employee–led groups who join together around shared interests, life experiences, or characteristics to support each other and have their voices elevated within the company and community.
Our 23andGROW learning and development program provides continuous training to ensure that all employees have the tools to help their colleagues feel like they belong. These training sessions include Unconscious Bias, Microaggressions, and Allyship and Inclusivity.
Our mentorship program provides a platform for employees from all backgrounds and levels to come together in order to impact each other’s lives and experiences in a meaningful way.
