Thank you for your interest in the 23andMe IBD Research Study.
If you purchased the 23andMe Personal Genome Service before 2010, your sample was analyzed using a previous version of our genotyping chip. The genetic data generated from
these older genotyping chips are not compatible with the data needed for this study, and therefore cannot be part of the analysis.
If you are an eligible participant and you would still like to enroll in the 23andMe IBD Research Study, we welcome your interest and encourage you to complete the enrollment process. You
will need to provide a new saliva sample, which will be genotyped on our most recent chip. To provide a new sample, you will have to enroll with a new profile.
It is important to consider that if you choose to follow through with this enrollment process and enroll with a new profile, you will have been genotyped twice. This
does not impact the analysis of your genetic data, but please be aware that you will appear to have a twin when viewing ancestry features in your profile. Unfortunately, we
cannot merge profiles at this time to resolve this issue.
To continue with enrollment and participate in this study, please complete the following steps:
When you dismiss this message, select the "I wish to create a new 23andMe profile" option and continue through the enrollment flow.
Once you receive your new kit, provide a new saliva sample. The steps to provide this sample are the same as when you provided your original sample. This new sample will be
genotyped on our most recent V4 genotyping chip, and to comply with FDA requirements, your new profile will NOT have
