Facilities Program Manager

The Facilities Program Manager will provide direct, comprehensive support to the Facilities Operations Manager and Workplace Experience team.  The Facilities Program Manager coordinates and implements all activities relating to Workplace Experience project development from feasibility analysis through completion of project/construction.  As our Facilities Program Manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our Workplace Experience projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.  You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.  This individual will also be responsible for oversight of improving 23andMe employee experience, including maintaining team objectives and initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with our Leadership to execute a real estate strategy that reflects our workplace philosophies and needs.  
  • Translate business and technical requirements into high-quality project designs that enable affordable and constructible solutions. 
  • Develop and establish strong relationships and work closely with external vendors and internal cross-functional stakeholders on Workplace Experience projects. 
  • Collaborating with Purchasing Department on RFP development and contractor selection
  • Arranging expert consultation services required for Workplace projects, such as architects, engineers, surveyors, or designers
  • Facilitating project meetings with appropriate internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage all internal aspects of remodels and build-outs for our offices and laboratories, ensuring that each project is scoped, staffed appropriately, and delivered on time and within budget.  
  • Manage comprehensive project documentation and changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.  
  • Communicate status and risks to stakeholders and resolve potential risks.  
  • Keeping stakeholders informed of project status, communicating any issues which impact project delivery
  • Ensuring proper close-out of all projects, including final punch list and close-out documents
  • In partnership with our Workplace Experience team, ensure that all offices feel connected and part of the 23andMe culture.   

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Docs/Mail/Calendar.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on crisp execution and seeing tasks to full completion. 
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Occasional Domestic Travel.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field plus five years of related experience,  an  Associate degree plus professional license (General Contractor, Building Inspector) plus five years of related experience, or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
